Best Paper Award in ICC 2016

Our paper, A Mobility-Based Mode Selection Technique for Fair Spatial Dissemination of Data in Multi-Channel Device-to-Device Communication, was selected as the Best Paper Award in ICC 2016. In this paper, we investigate the data dissemination technique using Device-to-Device (D2D) communication. In post-disaster situation, data dissemination is very important to inform the disaster situation, evacuation path, etc.. Since the amount of disseminated data should be equalized in each area so that we can maximize it in whole disaster area, in this paper, we proposed a novel distributed channel allocation method, in which each device autonomously fairly disseminates data in its area. In the proposed method, each device uses its own mobility information to decide its channel. Therefore, the proposed method is able to effectively use channel to disseminate data.
